The best kind of vehicle is the one that is paid for right? At least that is what some people like to believe anyway. Yet there is definitely some type of legitimacy to this way of thinking if you are conscientious of the expenses in your life. It is not representative of someone who feels like the car that they drive has to somehow reflect what their income level is though. But there are overlapping examples of this type of thinking going on either side of the coin so to speak. Take the person who spends far more on their vehicle than what would be appropriate based upon their income level. They often are able to pull this off for a while by skimping on other expenses within their life, or worse yet simply running up debt. This is not so wise for the long term though as it will eventually come to a halt when the expenses finally exhaust the means to pay for the extravagances within their life.

Then there are those people who actually could afford a newer and possibly better car than what they currently drive. They are the type of person who just because they have the means to, they are more interested in conserving or saving their money for other things, like the future for instance. There is some degree of intelligence to this and these are indeed the kind of people who will more then likely tell you that the best used car is the one that is already paid for.

There is no way around the additional expenses which come with owning a vehicle, but these can certainly be completely controlled by the owner of the vehicle. This is going to be based upon the decisions they make right from the beginning, like just what kind of car that they are going to buy. Obviously the best used cars are going to deliver the most inexpensive manner of supplying themselves with a form of personal transportation. The looks of the vehicle do not have to be horrendous by any means, as you know there are many cheap used cars under $2,000 that look great for instance. The thing is that they will usually have some higher miles on them already, commonly over 100,000 miles. This is not so bad though since used cars, no matter what era they were produced, can go well over 100,000 miles. Some vehicles are well known for having the likelihood of going over 200,000 miles.

If you think about it, the most important point of a vehicles purpose is to get you from one place to another, safely, reliably and cost effectively. This is essentially the definition of personal transportation whether they are used cars under $10,000 or less yet it does not necessarily include how good the car looks. It sure beats having to wait on the bus or the train or a taxi cab for that matter though.

When a used vehicle is already paid for, there are no more costly monthly car payments to have to contend with every month. There is however still the cost of insurance, the upkeep and the cost of fuel. But why not let someone else worry about the car loan, because once you have yours paid off, why not enjoy it to the max? Enjoy the extra money that you have and enjoy your car for what it provides you when you need it to. You worked hard to pay for it and as long as it fulfills your needs you may just have the best used car there is.
