Cars Under

One of the unfinished project cars which we had mentioned earlier was a late 1970’s or early 1980’s Chevy Camaro which the actual mileage was not really too bad at all being just under 80,000 original miles.

The car had been used as just basic transportation in a small town and the owner really never managed to put all that many miles on it. They did however put quite a few updates on the car and did some decent mods all around as well. Basically this was one of the used cars under 3000 dollars which made it onto the lot as part of a multi vehicle trade deal a couple of years back. This was one of those projects which some of the shop mechanics could really sink their teeth into. This era of the Chevy Camaro is not exactly the greatest but it is the era leasing right up to the IROC and total styling changes that would soon follow.

This type of vehicle usually does not require what you might think of as a big restoration job when compared to some of the really intense project cars which have a ton of work to be done to them. Instead this is basically just a used car which happens to be a model that a lot of roders will have an interest in.

The interests in hot rods and especially cars like the Chevy Camaro have always played a huge role in the whole scene even from some of the earliest days of the muscle cars. It is not really all that hard to find these used cars even for under $3000 these days but their condition is what is going to set each one of them apart.

If you are interested in anything like these it is well worth the time to look around at what the various opportunities are in your particular area so that you can see what you may be up against as far as the work load goes.

There will be some of these used cars which absolutely fit the bill as far as a muscle car goes but just like anything else the older they get the rarer they get. This reality is going to play a part in the price of the car no matter what its condition happens to be. For some people they may look for used muscle cars which need to have a lot of body work done and they may not be so concerned about the condition of the engine. The engine on the other hand may be the main thing that some car restoration enthusiasts are going to have the greatest amount of interest in.

Keeping in mind that the old muscle cars are going to be nothing more than used cars to some people only in rare instances, there are still several opportunities to acquire what you are looking for even on unfinished project cars under $3000 and everyone will have a preference as to make, model and condition. Some prefer Fords and some prefer Chevys yet this is just part of the bigger picture.
